KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Monday published the latest foreign currency exchange rates, showing stability in the US dollar while other currencies recorded mixed movements.
The US dollar held steady, with the buying rate at NPR 138.24 and the selling rate at NPR 138.84—unchanged from the previous day.
The euro saw a slight increase, with Monday’s buying rate at NPR 159.29 and the selling rate at NPR 159.98, up from NPR 159.20 and NPR 159.89, respectively.
In contrast, the British pound weakened. Its buying rate dropped to NPR 185.93 and the selling rate to NPR 186.74, compared to Sunday’s NPR 186.51 and NPR 187.32.
The Australian dollar also declined, trading at NPR 89.17 (buying) and NPR 89.56 (selling), down from NPR 89.64 and NPR 90.03 the previous day.
The Kuwaiti dinar strengthened slightly. Monday’s rates were NPR 451.54 (buying) and NPR 453.50 (selling), a marginal rise from NPR 451.40 and NPR 453.36.
Meanwhile, the Bahraini dinar edged lower, with the buying rate at NPR 366.30 and the selling rate at NPR 367.89, down from NPR 366.54 and NPR 368.13.
NRB noted that these rates are subject to change and may differ from those offered by commercial banks. The most current rates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
