Mr Kaplan is a classic hawk who, like other regional presidents, prefers to tighten and raise.
Kaplan, a former vice president in charge of investment banking at Goldman Sachs, left in 2006 to become a professor at Harvard University before being appointed Dallas Fed president in September 2015.
Kaplan is not a voting member of the Federal Committee for 2021.
It’s worth noting that Kaplan advocates the implementation of infinity and “keeping interest rates at zero until 2022 or even 2023.”
