As of June 18, 2025, Cuba’s foreign currency exchange rates have stayed steady, according to independent news outlet elTOQUE. At 10 a.m. local time, the U.S. dollar (USD) was valued at 376 Cuban pesos (CUP), unchanged since Tuesday. However, some areas show the selling rate may be slightly higher, around 378 CUP, for the second day in a row. It is unclear if this higher rate will continue.
The euro (EUR) has also stabilized at 410 CUP. This follows a recent period of sharp increases, including four record highs in just a few days. The current rate came after a small drop of five CUP yesterday.
Cuba’s virtual currency, the Moneda Libremente Convertible (MLC), remains steady at 260 CUP today.

Market Outlook for June
A recent report by elTOQUE, citing analysis from the Cuban Observatory of Currencies and Finance (OMFi), warns that Cuba’s currency market could become more volatile and unstable during the rest of June. This follows a calmer period in previous months.
OMFi explained that May saw an excess supply of currencies. For June, they expect higher demand, which could push exchange rates up. Their forecast for June 30, 2025, suggests the following values:
