Bank of Japan to patiently maintain loose policy

Kazuo Ueda, Governor of the Bank of Japan: The Bank of Japan will patiently maintain its loose policy because there is still a certain distance from the sustainable inflation target of 2%. Tapping out of easing doesn’t necessarily mean huge losses on the BOJ’s holdings of JGBs. Inflation moderates markedly in the second half of FY2023.
