2. Half of the remaining half (including half) to less than three-quarters of the face value with the specified characteristics;
3. All financial institutions dealing with RMB deposit and withdrawal business shall exchange the damaged or defiled RMB for the public free of charge.

At the same time, the incomplete RMB shall not be converted under any of the following circumstances: 1. The incomplete RMB is more than half of the face value;
2. The face of the ticket is stained, scorched, water-wet, oil-soaked and discolored, and cannot be identified as genuine or fake;
3. Deliberately dredging, altering, cutting and PASTing, or removing one side.
Incomplete Renminbi that cannot be converted shall be nullified by the People’s Bank of China and shall not be put into circulation.
